Everyday,
there are a lot of things to do at MoMoPeHo, according to season, climate, specific requirements etc.
Daily activities may
include: milking the cows, feeding and care of domestic animals: dogs, cows, “cuyes” (guinea pigs), horses and
also the wild ones such as birds.
Some activities
have to be done every week, every 2 weeks or on a monthly basis such as cutting the “palmitos” ( the palm variety
that produces the heart of palm) and bananas, maintenance of fences, "clearing" and caring plantations and plants cradles.
A third one is related to the daily life of the farmer: learning how to cook new food: “sango”, “empanadas
de verde”.... old ways to prepare our own food: cheese, butter.... and / or elaborate handicrafts such as new furniture
using old and new materials: “caņa guadua” (bamboo), wood...
The main thing is that you will be invited to look at each one of these activities as a member of the staff and, if
you wish so, to PARTICIPATE, so when you leave us you will be a different person than when you came. (This is guaranteed).
WALKINGS:
At MoMoPeHo we cannot attend people that require personal assistance moving around.
Walking is not only a daily exercise but a real necessity. Of course horses are very useful but we prefer to keep them
working, so there are moments and activities that require short or larger walks both day and night (according to weather conditions).
Of course we consider each individual’s physical abilities so no one gets exhausted.
